My take on back pain..when I get it ....

Anyhow when I get back pain, my doc used to prescribed Valium and painkillers. I can say when they first gave them to me, I thought wtf.. but since then I’ve found apart from the dizzy nice feeling you get from them and can’t really concentrate sort of thing you get. The pain is there but it’s just a niggle sort of pain.
I’ve been able to do more than I ever would have than if I didn’t have them. And I can say the recovery time is halved then if I just took painkillers alone.

now for some reason my docs don’t want to prescribe them, and I,m left with the same problems as before. Can’t sleep because of the pain and the painkillers wear off can’t move as much because of the pain if I move a lot.
But I remember the times with the Valium. And how it helped.
Yes they are Very addictive, but I’ve only had them for a few days but not longer than a week. Because
There was a time I took them for two weeks, after the two weeks I slept and thought I didn’t sleep because I didn’t take them.. that’s how I know they are addictive.
So when I used to get them, I always had some left, for a rainy day with my back. And the doc prescribed me less when I told him I had some left over and self medicated when I had a bad back

Now to give you an idea, I’ve been in agony with back pain and stiff a neck. Got the prescription from the doc and to the chemist. The guy told me what I needed to do. A long soak in the bath etc.
I said I know what I need, As this this is not the first time. Can I have a cup of water please.

I took two of the painkillers and 5mg of Valium. I got out side and phone my mate and met him down the pub.. he said. You have a real stiff neck and bad back. I could hardly turn my head.
Well after some time with 4pints and 2 more painkillers and another 5mg of Valium, my back and neck started to ease, We had another beer and Off I went home. The next day I met him and he said I can’t believe you are the way you are after yesterday and your back and neck.

I said that’s Valium and stopping The muscle Spasms .. it’s sore but it’s ok.

that’s how I know and I’ve had a long history of back pain. Now I’ve just got to work out how to get them Valium next time, because last time the new doc refused them. Even thou I’ve not had them for over a yr. and it took me longer to recover and was more painful. Btw I’ve never said I mix alcohol and Valium to my doc, it’s just not done, if you look up on the net. If you’ve abused opiates or stuff they will not give them to you.

I will say ymmv with these, and alcohol is not recommended, but if i,m having a hard time with back pain. I think fugg it let’s make it as best as I can while I’m in pain, and the pain goes away or becomes more bearable, I don’t do it all day,only in the eve to aid a good nights sleep.

btw. I take 5mg because of my size and I’ve had one doc say we only prescribe 2mg for your condition, I looked at him and said but my size I need 5mg, No we only prescribe 2mgs, I said ok I will take two (4mg) and walked out. I did try just 2mg and it didn’t work like it should.

He was just a doc that did not want to be told he was wrong. And I’ve had other docs from the hospital say I need 5mg because of my size.

anyhow that’s my take on bad backs, it’s up to yourselves on how you want to treat yourselves, I do understand it’s not for everyone and I just wanted to say what works best for me

Couldn’t agree more there Brent way to much hype in the media ,they are always beating up a story good or bad to make themselves look great.The media is a lot worse than the politicians in most cases.

So......somehow I've hurt my back badly. I can barely stand to bend to sit down. It first started a couple of days ago after I crawled around behind my buddy Rudy's dryer. It's gotten worse.....and then a little worse. Now I'm feeling sorta *frenched.

Not good Randy I get like that myself I went to the Drs and I have degenerative 5&6 disks bought on by the building industry unfortunately.I feel your pain my friend rest is my only solution

My gay cousin was always complaining about his back pain at family gtgs. When he and his partner split he stopped complaining about it. Hew might want to consider laying off anal for awhile. If that doesn't work try whut Steve said.
