The date is correct on the photos too, so lots of growing time left..

The wife walked out our side door last night an found a Y standing there frozen in the fine fescue (sp) grass. She said hello pretty and it bolted. Ran up and down the fence along the tracks for about an hour lol.

Just doing a yearly inspection. Some of these cranes have been around since the late 1940s. We did do some load testing here years ago, with mixed results. Some of these will make you go .
Found this Wednesday. Hard to tell from the pic, but thats a 50 lb chunk of steel and copper windings hanging on by one fatigued 5/8" stud.
If it broke, it would most-likely fall directly on the operators head. We shut that one down on the spot.

Oh, and its the main electric brake for the hoist. The part that picks stuff up.

This isnt the first go around like this.
One of these episodes is the reason I have 4 weeks of vacation and maximim vacation here is 3 weeks...
I came in to do a lifter job he refused to do and the customer was without wheels for 4 days because of him.

Really that's *f-wording sad. Hope it wasn't all about the lifters.

Four weeks, nice. You can afford a good hangover or three. Hit up some house parties for me and keep them in stitches while your away from the biches!
