For sure. I guess one of my nephew's already piled his bike doing something stupid. My sister isn't too happy about having to foot the bill for it though.
Each homeowner is paying for the sidewalk across their front yard. There was a big uproar over it all, but the city said too bad, we are doing it even if nobody on the street wanted it.

City of Stevens Point tore up the road and is putting in a sidewalk on the street my sister lives on.
She sent me this pic of their mad 'crete skillz on the sidewalk...

Neighborhood kids are gonna love that.

Be good for them young kids around there...get ‘em out the house and on bikes, skateboards, building ramps, jumping, etc. And wearing strawberries on them elbows and knees busting their asses.

Dam around here they do 50/50 unless it's a street rebuild then contractor is required to add sidewalks.

So now you'll see stretches of new road on the edge of town with sidewalks to no where.
