When I was in my 20s working part time construction, the tradesmen…framers, roofers, flat-work, Sheetrock, etc we’re all making a good living wage that supported a large family. Even in a Central Valley, CA farming community the numbers who were Hispanic were pretty low. Not trying to sound racist…just how it was. Bringing low wage, uneducated, flunkies killed the construction industry, imo. Sad…the same problem has existed around here for years in the roofing business…drywall too.
