A$$holes at the bank wouldn't let me transfer more than $5,000 a day out to another bank, wanted me to do a wire transfer so they could charge me

Got a "one time exception" to transfer $10,000 and then wait 24 hours and can transfer another $5,000, rinse and repeat

What a bunch of *a-holes, this is how you get treated after more than 35 years of business

Transferring because their CD rates suck donkey balls and we can get more than double the rate at Discover Bank

Just closed out a CD that they had a good promotional rate and to extend it would have cut the APR/APY more than half

I know damn good and well it screws with people's sleep cycles and after over 35 years as an RN/BSN the boss will happily tell you that it absolutely messes with when babies are born

We keep a small amount in our USAA savings account just to keep it open and not have to pay any monthly fees

We used to have a lot in there and in their CDs but their rates got so terrible we weren't even keeping up with inflation, so we switched most of it to Discover Bank

We had a little over $2,000 in there before the CD closed out on Monday and auto transferred to savings

We got $0.01 interest on that $2,000 for the past month

I can't get the boss to switch all her pension, SS, etc direct deposits to Discover so we can tell USAA to fúck themselves

We still have USAA insurance on everything and we get a discount for direct debit on the insurance payments but it isn't worth it when they pull śhit like this

Seen Doyle. He seems to be doing much better. Doc said he had some blood clots in his legs that broke loose and traveled to his lungs. They're giving him meds to dissolve them. Fixing to send him out of critical care to a "regular" room.

The clots in his legs are from inactivity I'd imagine. His back hurts so bad that he can't stand for long without being in a lot of pain. He uses a walker, but isn't able to get the exercise that he used to.

That's the scary thing about getting older, inactivity that causes other health problems like blood clots.
Now that he's in good hands, hopefully they'll find a solution for follow-up when he gets home.
