My little 22 ton splitter ran all day. Not as fast as the bigger ones they had, but the boy and I got some splitting done. Pecan splits terrible. But I also gathered up several bags of chips for smoking and there is a considerable mound left. May need to take a shovel and fill a garbage can with chips and scrap.

Evening fellas. Spent the day putting a steel roof on my woodshed today. Cut and split a about a facecord of Red Oak too. Beautiful 47 degrees in the central north woods today. Staying in the camper tonight, not very often that happens on December 7th here in God's country.

Not the best on names. Several from the church we were splitting for. Matt(Hedgerow) and his son Levi, Thomas(Hinerman) and his son who's name escapes me, Thomas' friend Paul, Eric(Lurch) and Bub the preacher from the church are about the only ones I know off hand. Several couldn't make it today for various reasons, not the least of which is sickness making the rounds again.

Howdy fellas - finished the buckskin. I’ll be the first to admit that it’s not perfect, but it I’m chalking it up to a learning experience. As it dried, I couldn’t dedicate the time to break the hide properly, so it got a little wrinkly as it dried. But for the wall hanging it was always meant to me, it works. Feels great seeing it on the wall now.
