Got one in 30-06 flavor with wood stock and BOSS as well. Might have to drag it out for some pictures.

I told Glenda this morning that we better start keeping a close eye on the cows cause we could be having some calves any day now.

Went this morning to look em over.....and found a new born calf.

Got fall calving out of the way between Aug. 29 and Sept. 6 with two stragglers, one Oct and one Nov. 14 total fall calves. Bulls go back in next weekend and back out in two months. I left them in a bit longer last spring than I normally do and got those two out of sync.

Poor. The word is poor.

I'm a poor man who enjoys his cattle. I want to let the cattle pay for themselves. That's why my newest tractor is from 1978, and my truck is from 1983. If I bought newer, bigger, fancier equipment, I'd be even poorer than I am.

Had a barn burner of a dove shoot Saturday. 2 hours and most of us had our limits.
The best part of the shoot was watching my cousins 25yr old daughter shoot her first limit of doves.
She did it with her grandaddys 20ga. shotgun and in front of her boyfriend.
Grandad passed last year but 2yrs ago after the season ended, his last shoot, he gave his shotgun and the shooting stool/bucket that i built for him to his granddaughter.
This dove shoot and land is been doing this for 3 generations, it feels good to see it continue.
