Did you get the fluid changed out on the deere?
Suction filter will be here tomorrow
Gonna borrow my buddy’s barrel drain pan to get it done
I miss my 2640....

Feeding 40 head without a loader ain't a damn bit of fun.
I wouldn’t own a tractor without a loader
Hydraulics are your friend
Especially when lifting something heavy or awkward like the other day

That is why you need another loader tractor.....or a skid steer. Stuff breaks down and the cows gotta eat. Hope you get your 2640 back soon!

Morning guys.
About 2" of snow on the ground.

Yesterday didnt go as planned. About 5 minutes of light left and a 10pt. Was at my waterhole. Came up, turned at 37 yards and was walking away.
I shot right underneath..that sucked.

Damn your supposed to say he was running and jumping doing scissors kicks lol. Well hope ya get some backstraps next weekend.

I did something similar years ago bow hunting. I was in a ground blind and the rut was just kicking off. I was hunting a pawpaw tree that the does absolutely loved and had seen tons of deer that morning. Eventually I rattled in a monster 12 point. The kind of deer that spends the entire rifle season hunkered down in a swamp. Right there in broad midmorning daylight. Just a beautiful animal looking for a fight. He stomped across the open field in front of my blind about 15 yards out. I picked the right pin and made an absolutely perfect shot.... 12 inches in front of him. My sight had 2 dots per pin and I used the wrong dot! I was so mad at the time. In retrospect it was pretty funny and I am glad it missed him instead of wounding with a bad shot.

I could have, but no, I just plain *frenched up and hurried the shot. At least I missed vs a bad hit.

Dropped your arm instead of tilting your body with the bow trick. Happened to lots of guys up in the tree stands. Take a target block out to your tree stand and shoot a couple target tips and you will see the difference when dropping your arm vs following through with your body.

I sorta like not having the loader on the smaller tractors.

Yeah.....another loader is definitely on the want list. One thing at a time though.

For now I can haul with the rear spear and move the hay rings by hand. I will manage.

Possible, but thinking back on it, I dont recall seeing my sight fully through my peep. I believe I didnt have my anchor point correct.
When he turned, there was a 5' window before he was behind a tree. I hurried it.

He was right here.. walking towards the right in pic.

A pendulum sight is very useful for tree stand hunting.
