Nice saw there Brad how did it go
Went pretty well Todd. Had to prune some storm damage out of a black maple (subspecies of hard maple). Used the saw for 2 hours and had half battery power left. I'd say that's pretty gooder.

@DuratecMan10 style.

Evening guys. Finally got back in the shop tonight for a minute. 10 hour days and the commute leaves little time for saws but I'm getting the itch again. Cleaned up cases and assembled a crank on @ucm931 's 550. That dude has the patience of a monk.

Namaste bishes....

Does it take two batteries or one?
I like the sawzall cuts tires quickView attachment 253144

It's the smaller 18volt brushless top handle that uses one battery. I also got the 18v brushless sawzall in a kit. Haven't had a chance to use it.

I wish that kit was available up here. It drives me crazy that Makita USA uses different model numbers and packages than the rest of the world.

CPO does have some good deals, they just don’t ship to Canada.

This is the cheap one available locally.

The brushless one is double the price and no deals that I can find.

If you went Milwaukee they have deals all the time and can probably find them through your local wholesale houses. There is a flyer every 3 months at the plumbing wholesale houses here

Used the little Makita TH on this little white pine this morning...20200806_084424.jpg

And 10 minutes later20200806_084821.jpg

Made every cut with the Makita except the stump cut. Stump cut was probably 12". Probably made somewhere between 36-48ish cuts ranging from 1-10" battery said 3 bars left when I was done. Was able to fire it up before 7am without worry of noise. I'm pleased with the saw so far. Time will tell in the durability department.

Dewalt with the 60/90/120v Max battery is all you need. Thing is a beast. The 12V Max XR is damn powerful as well.

The Canadian deals are just never as good and then getting someone to ship up to me negates the savings as I end up paying taxes on the inbound shipments.

No bumble bee crap here. Teal all the way.

Dewalt isn't crap! And who else has a battery that adjusts the voltage based on what the tool is cutting/drilling/screwing? Dewalt or nuffin.
