How much screen space is one one thousands of a second on an 85inch monitor?Evening folks. Slow day at work, then came home and watched the Nascar race. Kyle Larson won at Kansas, closest finish in Nascar Cup history. One one-thousandth of a second. Pretty awesome race.

That's what she said.
Yep. FC series. Forward controls.
You'll have your turn he's just back with Jason for now. He's mad at me. Said he ain't coming back.
Reminds me of the old joke from my high school daysThat's what she said.
Finally change you ways and switch to using freedom units? Anyway, on a 85" TV, t'was about a Dall hair...How much screen space is one one thousands of a second on an 85inch monitor?
With no snow load to worry about, and a metal roof, 16' 2x10s would be fine.So how far can i free-span with a 2 x 8?
How about a 2 x 10?
Want to build a lean-to off the house to park the old Ferd under.
Would rather not have to truss something. Hoping for 16-20' if the roof pitch will allow it.
Gotta do maffs to see how wide i can make it.
Of course i just remembered i cant get anything in PT longer than 16', so ill have to do a form of truss. With no snow load to worry about, and a metal roof, 16' 2x10s would be fine.
Why PT if it is under roof?Of course i just remembered i cant get anything in PT longer than 16', so ill have to do a form of truss.
Also only have 2 x 4 rafters where it ties in to the existing roof.
Could i do a "bastard" partial length truss with a ledger attached to the wall to keep as much headroom as i can?
Hard to explain what im trying to do.
Would be doing this lean-to for now, but plan to build out a carport and replace the metal carport we have at the end of the house eventually.
Everything will follow the existing roof pitch.
Does any of that make sense?
Two words. Why PT if it is under roof?
No-one I trust more to know about that as a measurement.about 3".
