My first truck was a 1958 chevy apache
Cost 2k came with a built dual point 327 Corvette engine and a 4 speed rock crusher transmission.
I could take off in 1 2 or 3rd and go 30mph and put it in 4th to go 65mph
It was all 58 suspension and brake's
If it was dry weather
I could stop in 150ft from 60mph if rain was even forecasted it took about a half a mile to stop.
I drove it everywhere for 5 year's installing hardwood flooring and carpet/tile it never had any issues at all other than stopping.
If i hammered down on it
It would just wheel hop straight into a ditch.
