lol not me but others
its more than oak and other hardwoods bring
same thing with cottonwood which is a rarity here
Huh, interesting. Cottonwood is pallet wood around here. And only the Amish buy pine for their own uses.

Edit: in the original question, I meant “down by you”.

Pine is almost invasive around here. I cut the 4-6" trees for my goats. They debark them pretty quickly. Good for them too. Not sure if sheep would like it though, have to ask Dallas.

I can see that. Unfortunately for me up this way, it’s not the case.

the only places see them around here is where they was planted at a old house or up high on the mountains in the national forests such as spruce knob
but usually if you see a few pine together its near a old building site

There’s roughly 170 bd ft in a 20” 10’ log. Sounds to me like you’re buying them right, but I have no idea what pine sells for - we don’t have a market for them here.
Well you stick some pine off to the side if you get some decent ones and I’ll either come get some of pull my mill down and we’ll make some lumber to split

Good day all, relaxing this weekend and preparing for some inbound weather to start the week. Monday forecast 24 hours ago was for a high of 50f has now dropped to 38f with snow and wind and continuously dropping temps to -20f by Tuesday morning.

We’ve had it pretty easy so far this winter but it looks like our luck is about to change.
