Damn good advice for @Mastermind, he just needs to remember he will need his passport to drive through Canada to get to Alaska WHERE IT IS WARMER THAN IT IS IN TENNESSEE...
Before I got clean......I got myself a felony conviction. So.....I'm not welcome in Canada.

That's how I feel every time I roll up to the border checkpoints

I am squeaky clean and they almost always treat me like a suspected criminal

No offense to you Canuck members but I am not a big fan which is sad because Canada is an amazingly beautiful place with a lot of awesome people, just not a fan of your government

Well......I'm sorta stuck in my situation. My own fault of course. But a getting a "real job" or traveling out of the country are never gonna be on my bingo card.

Yeah, like you need a real job to give you something to do since you are apparently king of the slackers and sit around all day doing jack *s-word

Oh wait, that's me...

My sorry

I gotta be honest I am still on the fence about retirement

I am sooooo glad to be out of state government service because it has become so dysfunctional; but, I miss the sense of purpose and fulfillment that I got by doing my job well

I guess I would have retired at the end of this year anyway if the boss hadn't put her foot down that I retire at 60 so I guess the point is moot

I know that retirement killed my dad; I am firmly convinced he would have lived years longer if he kept working

IDK, in the end all you can do is try it and see if it works for you

I would love to "retire".....but I'm insanely hyperactive. I'd most likely just stop doing saws, and get into something else.
