In true Maryland style they were boiled in beer seasoned with JO seasoning then dumped into an ice bath to stop the cooking then sprinkled with more JO.

I’ve had it before...good stuff! Used to be a fresh seafood place in Macon, Ga (20-min drive from the house), that carried it. Place was in business for decades and a lot of customers so the seafood was always being replenished with fresh stuff. Best oysters you could get in mid-Ga...brought in damn near daily on refrigerated trucks from Appalachicola Bay in Fla.
