Bubba Stewart, Chad Reed, Ryan Villopoto etc are more my time. I did watch LaRocco, McGrath, Carmichael and those guys too though.
I got in during the Johnson, Ward ,O'Mara, Lechein era. But was in and saw all the guys you named too. Doug Henry and John Dowd both New England riders were forces of nature in the mud

I started on a CR80. Graduated to a CR125 Elsinore I bought as a basket case back in 84. It was ragged the fugg out but I spent a winter splitting wood to buy parts for the rebuild. Schitt that thing used to scare me good. We were catching 10-20 foot of air off the lake spillway. Buddies all had RM 125, YZ's and one *pretty boy had an old Yamaha enduro we used to slag on all the time. Miss that stuff.

wake up from your nap gramps ?
We worked till about 4. Then we went over to Doyle's to look at some pretty good sized red oaks the wind blew down. Chewed the fat awhile, then he told me that he wanted me to take over his hayfields next year. He's 80, and his back is in bad shape. It makes me sad to see him not being able to do what he wants to do. Doyle has been one of the hardest working men I've ever known.
