Mornin’ fellas. I must be getting old - up with heartburn last night. I think it was the garden fresh tomatoes that I ate last night.. Anyway, today is the start of mini-vacation. We’re heading north into Wisco for a cabin getaway on a lake with some friends of ours. Raining now, and supposed to up there tomorrow morning, but it should clear up and we should be able to get out on the pontoon a couple times. Looking forward to some relaxation.

Built by a local Hutterite colony. Weighs over 300lbs. Flat surface is carbon steel and usually is a shiny silver but it hasn’t been used this summer so the seasoning is all gone and it rusted some. Frame is built from the same steel the use on bridges, the patina is intentional. Marketed as Black Earth Grills, they also make a really cool gas BBQ that can also be pellet powered or just pellet smoke accented.
