Start using the red on the walls so they can get some nice bleed through on the paint.

I only use red chalk on walls, it never bleeds through.

Back in the day we used to hang a lot of houses with blue board (plaster board) blue chalk does not show up on blue rock, so we always used red. Never bothered to switch to blue chalk, after always buying red.
