So let's say a guy was thinking of getting a smaller-ish saw.
Probably something a bit older that still has decent parts availability.
Probably something already roached out and in need of an overhaul.
What should that guy look for?
I've never had a 346. I've had a few 026's. MS261's are probably too new and higher priced.
Soo, what would you *f-worderś think I should look for?

Highly modifiable.

I know a guy in NJ that can make a really ripping 024 for you. The lead time might not be appealing though.

Without knowing the story, I am not going to make a comment. Other than the comment about not making a comment. Nice picture!
Well then, I'll 'splain it.
He was saying that young lady was particularly well endowed "down there".
I can agree.
Call it a "Camel toe" or "Moose knuckle",
Its all good, and all pink on the inside...

Sup fuggers?
I'm surprised the incisions they made on my finger as twice as long as I figured they would be.
Whatever.
This not using your index finger on your dominant hand sure blows goats.
So your saying its going to be longer before you can dance with Rosey Palmer and her 5 skinny sisters?
Or are you going to the "dark side" Luke?

The 034S is light as hell for a 60cc saw. Will run a 24" 3/8 in stock form.

The 026 is a great light saw....but look for a PRO version if possible.

Or.....the 346XP is another fine choice.

I have a 346xp OE that is in pieces and ready to rebuild with a used 42mm cylinder and piston. I have a bunch of new parts and stuff to put it all back together. It will not be a shelf queen, just a nice work saw. Just the way you like them.

Ed, I love the 346 and I think the one @PA Dan owns might be one of the hottest saws I've ever run. Look for a 353 or 350 maybe and do the top end swap to save some bucks. Also the Dolmar 5105 and 5100s are stupid fast with a port job.

Make sure all the kill switch circuits are good.
In the process of putting a new P&C on one of those I bought for the grandboy.
PO straight gassed it.
Had to order a ring compressor. What a PITA!
After a thorough going over it ended up being that the brake switch was falling out of the brake lever housing… 🤦🏻‍♂️
