Around here the grass doesn’t start growing until mid April. First crop hay always falls around Memorial Day weekend.

We usually cut hay toward the end of May.

An old timer farmer once told me: “There’s always 3 snowfalls on a Robin’s tail.” And dang if that hasn’t been true since I started paying attention. Saw my first robin this week...

I've noticed a similar later season snowfall indicator, Basketball finals. Both high school and college. Seems like a greater than 90% chance of a good dumping. Seems very likely since it's about a 3 week window usually!

You just keep that *s-worde south, watching the radar and we should be the northern edge and about 3”, it’s the wind that is concerning. 40MPH winds can lead to some nasty drifting.
