Let me ask you engine aficionados something...
I have a chance to pick up a real clean, fully loaded 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x4 with the 4.0L I6 in it, for a crazy price. From what I understand but haven't had time to read a whole lot, Jeeps' 4.0 in-line 6 was one of the best engines around back in its' day. It has right at 200K miles on it, doesn't leak a single drop of fluid and been babied the last several years. It runs out, drives, shifts fine, 4x4 Selec-Trac (I think it is vice Quad-Trac 4x4 system) works fine. The only problem it's ever had was a power window motor failed on a rear window, and the decision was made to replace all four with factory OEM motors about six years ago (was a known problem with these window motors). The Jeep was involved in a little fender bender several years back and only damaged the front driver side headlight, headlight assembly mount, and slight/little quarter panel damage, and was repaired/re-painted, etc and good to go.
Any input would be appreciated.
Edit - any and all maintenance ever done to this thing...oil changes, trans fluid changes, brakes, etc, etc, etc records are all there as well. Vehicle is a one-owner bought new back in '02.
