Thats the plan. Hopefully they’ll be wrong and we’ll get the snow. We’re like right on the line and it can go either way.

The old power lines were designed to handle 1/2” of ice in a 40mph wind. The new ones are rated for 1” of ice and 90mph wind.

1/2” of ice on 500ft line will make it sag 6ft.
