I'd really like this sumbitch on the ground but it's beyond my skill level to tackle it.
On a hill, hollowed out on one side at the base about 6' up.

Definitely not a one man operation. Put a rope in that bish, notch it and back cut it. Make sure you have a clear exit path! Lol

The base where it flares is C shaped. The side away from the pic is the open end of the C.
It's easy 5' at the base and the hill is steeper than the pics show, the right side being the uphill side, it's still 2' above my 6' where it finally becomes round.
Next time I'm over there I'll get pics of the base.
My Dad and I look at it probably 3 times a year and always decide to just leave it.

You gots a howitzer I can borrow?
It's a little large for any shoulder fired rifle.
Since when did your solution to everything change from "pee in it's butt"?

Afternoon hosers. Fired up the WSM early this morning. Local store has back ribs on sale, so I did a rack over pecan and some B&B briquettes that I'm falling in love with. I think I've finally found some coal as clean and consistent as Stubbs. Roasted some veggies and finished up the last of the NYE cheesy potatoes to go with it. Good eats!

Tough to get traction on that hill if you have to escape. How big is it? Hard to tell from the picture.

Just read where you say what size it is. Which way does it look like it wants to go? I still like the cut into it as much as you dare, then tannerite the downstream side. Plus you get to shoot stuff, and make booms!

If the hill is working against you with the lean of the fall, you could always rope it with a pulley on another tree and use it to divert the pull and use the hill to your advantage
;)
