I wasn't sure as I am not up on my diesel engines. I assume there are holes in the head for injectors and maybe glow plugs, which is why I was not sure. Also did not know diesels are 4 valves per cylinder, or is it 3?

It does look like 2 holes in the head. Before the catastrophe!

Chevy is 4
But injectors just slide in head and have a bolted holder
Glow plugs are also threaded in but small hole

That one is just broke.
We had a motor explode at the end of the racing season. 2 pc crank , 4 pc cam, 2 rods outside of block , oil pan, bell housing, input of trans, metal in the venturi of carb and carb booster loose.

Unhappy motors will attack your wallet.
