Finally have the parts and time to put the axle seals in the Bobcat.
Seal goes on the axle, then the bearing presses on.
I don't have the special tool to "press" the seal in while drawing the axle in on the gear...
So, an old bearing race and a couple zip ties and I made my own.

"Redneck ingenuity" extends far north of the Macon Dixon line.

We prayed for everyone who has been affected by drought. It's getting really bad in a lot of places.

I make it a point to always pray for our country too Mark. I ask the creator to heal the division, and help us to remember that we are all one people. That prayer is one I pray for daily.

Yeah, well I spent an hour and a half trying to get the other side seal to start into the axle tube straight before saying fukk it for the day.

Too much to catch up on before I have to go back out of town.
Some rain would be nice here too.
Just found a 30+" Red Oak thats dying.
It's on the corner of the property and really close to the power lines, so should be a fun one to take down.
Oh, and its hollow with a big main trunk that hooks way left at the top to mess up any easy take down plans.

This is the first August I can remember that my yard is still green and growing and all the grass in the fields is the same. Typically by now the heat and dry has browned it up.
We've been getting into the low 50's in the mornings and it's definitely getting light later.

This is the first August I can remember that my yard is still green and growing and all the grass in the fields is the same. Typically by now the heat and dry has browned it up.
We've been getting into the low 50's in the mornings and it's definitely getting light later.

We typically have been getting decent rain by now after a dry June/July.
Lows are around 70 still, but highs have been in the 80s instead of a hundred and fuch like the last 2 months.
Fall is one of my favorite seasons, when we get it.
Lately, its been going from summer to winter and back until Christmas, then winter to summer.

As a neighbour in many ways it concerns me as well. It seems to me your political system needs a Dr Pepper to challenge the dominance of the duopoly of Coke and Pepsi.
Have had lots of seat time this week and have listening to podcasts instead of music. I find the story of Andrew Yang and his new Foward Party quite interesting.
(Won’t cross the line and actually get political but I did find the story interesting. )

On the rain front, I’ll be good if we don’t have any for the next number of weeks. 5-7 inches this week is too much, we should not be battling mosquitoes this way this late in the summer. Ditch has more than a couple inches of standing water in it.
