If you look closely ;) I think the one on the right has been skimmed (the lack of the bottom of mahle gives it away) I just hope it’s not been belt sanded :risas3:

I didn’t time them as I was just tearing them down. I did notice both had base gaskets. So I’ve got to pay attention when assembling them regarding the squish

I’ve no idea of the history of these saws but both had pto bearings go poop.

And I’m not really wanting to use the crank from one of these saws again. Unless you can convince me otherwise ;)
I do have other pics but this sums it up.

Edit. I should have shown the other side (pto)

Some come "skinned" from the factory as the castings differ slightly from one to the next.

I was putting in posts for my grape trellis. That is why. I used them all. Well, I got 14 in and today I strung the wire for it to climb on. I have some clippings of concord and muscadine rooting, then they will get planted. Then I will need more posts. So it might get quiet around here.
Well that sucks.
Its mid 80s here.
Fugging pollen count must be 19 gazillion right now.
Stupid fuggin plants...:mad::taptap:

Anyone remember the Lite beer commercials. Less filling, tastes great. Hawks and crows, plants or no plants. :tiburon:

Between the fertilizer prices and fuel prices, I don’t think people are going be thrilled with how much hay prices are gonna have to go up to compensate.

I'm seriously considering selling all my cattle, and just growing hay.

I didn't realize we imported 96% of our Ag potash from Russia. Supposedly a company in Michigan is gearing up to supply all domestic Ag potash needs. So hopefully you guys will get some relief in the future. Am I correct that only a year or two ago it was approximately $200 a ton?

Theres a plant here in Augusta GA that used to be Augusta Potash, or PCS(potash Corp Southern). Now Nutrien fertilizer.
DSM chemicals shared a plant site with them.
They both made fertilizers.
I know firsthand that DSM wasted a LOT of money, and thought they could do so with no fear of recourse.
They were bought by an investment company and shut down because they didnt make enough money.
All makes sense now.
Russians were selling it cheaper than we could make it, due to our complacent behaviour.
Typical.
Most of our pain is self-inflicted.
