Through the plateau yet?

Decided to go for a drive this morning. Looks like us hunters didn't do our part this year.View attachment 328753
Counted 23 in this ~5 acre field.
Missed dis one…it’s about 130 internal now. I’m sure it’ll stall around da 160 mark.

Just a little food for thought…when running temp controllers/fans on yer smokers, or grills for that matter, there’s really no sense in running an extension cord to power the 12V DC controller thang. Juss buy a 12V DC output adapter (DeWalt/Makita/Milwaukee, etc) that sits on top of yer battery of flavor, and off to the races you go. Kinda puts to bed the lack of power thing when yer out and about Wolverine-style. Mobility and boondocks is juss a battery away.

Hey Timbo, added a little more bling to the 22.5…little side shelf action x 2…whatcha rectum?

i like the battery adapter idea, might need to pick up a Makita version.

Gimmee a bit and I’ll chime back in with an aftermarket Makita one that not only outputs 12V DC, but has USB and a pretty decent 3-step LED flashlight with it. One thing to note with these adapters regardless of mfg’r…DO NOT leave the adapter sitting on top of a battery when you’re finished using it. These are all dumb devices and will residually drain a battery within a day or three depending on Ah, below the threshold of these newer style ‘smart’ Li-Ion battery’s. If you go below that threshold, now you have to make jumper wires to charge the batt to minimal threshold from other batteries, so the charger will recognize it and charge it. Juss sayin.

I can assume you have 18V LXT or 12V LXT Makita batteries. The above applies.

You wouldn't happen to have any mismatched brand tires on it, would you? If they are using the GM wheel speed sensors, and you get too much variation in tire diameter it will cause all sorts of funky things with the traction control.
Nope. All 6 are round-ish.

You got so much *s-word hangin' off that thing it looks like one of the Harleys the dudes in North Face jackets ride around here. Probably makes the cooks real consistent and hands off though. I wouldn't know what to do if I spoiled myself like that.

So my drive took me back by the woods where I found the chaga a while back. It was right by the road but I hadn't been back because I wanted to talk to the person that owned the woods. He couldn't have been nicer, even told me to take his lab pup out with me. He said he's clearing the woods so take as much as I want. When I took his lil' fella back he told me to come back for more any time. All I had was a knife to chip some off so I'll definitely be back with a hatchet or bow saw.20220227_113856.jpg 20220227_113901.jpg 20220227_113905.jpg 20220227_123417.jpg
