Our Tahoe got to where it would burn a quart every 1000 miles. Ran Rotella for 3000 miles and then switched back. No more burning oil

may have to try that if I buy one burning oil

No laughter from me. Its a diesel oil. Low ash, more zinc, which they took away from the typical gasoline oil viscosities.
Might help clean the rings and get them doing their job again.
