I've always been of the belief that you cannot overlubricate a bearing.

I wash it out. I don't think grease has any place inside a two stroke crankcase.

My 372 and 2171 are one of each method. Neither have blown up. Buggered if i know.

I'm new to commenting here, just a long time lurker in the shadows and creeping on other people's comments. I don't know this guy here but I like his idea of fun. In order to enter one of those establishments, a test within 24 hours has to be presented. Having tests as a burden of proof, transmission by unvax xed is very limited, IMO. Vax xed are not tested unless they fall ill. Yet, the numbers keep going up? People over 60 are being fined for not taking the vaccine. Our ability to resist the va x is being slowly choked off by those who want to dictate to others what they think.

I'm as pro health as anyone I know and I often send items to people that are beneficial to their health. Why? Because I care enough to help and promote well being, plus friendship.

My belief is against using technical cures, for what I see as a technical problem. And, I cannot support big pharma, which has already damaged so many lives already. Monsant o is running the world and look at the trail of destruction left by those *f-words. I also use enough critical thinking to realize that whoever sponsors the news, controls the news. My TV ain't connected to the antenna, cable, nor the internets.

For goodness sake, the opoid crisis is a pandemic of massive proportions, yet doc's are still giving that chit out like chicklets. Kids are queuing up at schools to get dosed up on a their cocaine derivatives. It's all a bit dystopian, Adam.

I care enough to do my research. I spent a lot of years of naively letting Uncle Sam jab me with everything you can think of so I could fight-the-good-fight. Went in 100% able bodied and left 80% disabled.

I received a letter recently from the VA. It seems that after a couple of years of shoving cotton swabs into people's noses, the government is finally admitting that veteran exposures in the Mid East have caused severe sinus issues. Same with the Vietnam era and Agent Orange. It took a long time for those atrocities to be brought to light and many people died while waiting for the truth. And history tells us very vividly, it isn't often that the truth is a part of the initial narrative.

When y'all are installing used-to-be sealed bearings in a case, do you wash the factory grease out pre-install or leave it there to be washed out by the run-in mix?

Is this the place where I can start a grease thread on lithium, calcium, polyplex syn., Aluminum, and barium base grease complex's??

One of the biggest problems, in my OPINION, is the "disconnect" that some feel when using online platforms.
People say things they otherwise wouldn't when they arent face to face with the other members of a discussion.
I try to think of what I'm saying as if we were standing there having this discussion in person.
Do I want to put it this way or that with the knowledge its going to get an angry reaction or hurt feelings in some way?
Not really.
GFYs and such are ok though.
Trust me, I dont mind saying that to ANYONE that I think needs it.

Damn shame about how people are being treated over this. I'm absolutely against any type of mandate on this vaccination. I believe in the science behind the vaccine, but I'm not for forcing anyone to take it....or punishment for those who choose not to. I think it has been well established that vaccinated people can still get and transmit the virus.....so why force it on others? What I'm also absolutely against is misinformation.....but I'm also well aware that it has become hard to know what is fact.

New Zealand is not so different to Greece. No jab, proven by 'Passport', no fun. Entire regions freedoms restricted on the basis of vax targets. Ours, Northland, the last outlier. No groups larger than 100 at sports events etc. The reaction to this sickness affects everyone here.
I am vaxxed, but i could care less if others are or are not. Don't abuse your kid's and animals and don't steal. The rest, meh.

I'm a nobody here, but here's my take.

There's some members that are sick. We are all hoping the best and giving well wishes for them the best we can. There's no doubt about the fact we do give a chit about the others on here.

But. Because it has become such a quagmire of information, misinformation and lots of WTF, it causes NUMBERS to become a hot button like politics or religion.

I think we should be posting our get well soon's and best wishes but trying to add any "technical information " into is best left out.

It truly is sad that it's come to that, but the cats out of the bag, and unfortunately it has turned into another dividing factor in our world.

So, I say give each other our best, give everyone a GFY when required but leave the "numbers" alone.

Take it easy. Every time I think I'm over it.....I realize that's just wishful thinking. I woke up at 0230 this morning coughing and choking. Took an hour to get my *s-word together and get back to bed.

yeah I over did it yesterday bringing firewood into the garage. I’ve had episodes much like you’ve described. Coughing fits that have left me a wheezing shaking mess. Pretty scary stuff.
