Got my 441c to fire up tonight with a used coil and patched together wiring.
Hoping to fix the wiring up nice tomorrow, put it completely back together, do an Mtronic reset and go hack on the windfall oak in the woods.
As much aggravation as thing thing has caused I hope I somewhat like it.

Pretty much. Thank God the store here in Banner Springs is finally open again. My buddy Tracy and his wife bought it. I can just drive my tractors out and fill up now. One mile to the store.

I’ll trade ya food for that saw…I really like that 044 you got there. If interested have yer machine call my machine, we’ll work out the grocery list.

They are good saws usually. Really stout when ported.

Here we go...don't be poking fun at my welds...I hate welding galvanized.

New wheel hubs and stub axles.


Scrounged up some Mercedes aluminum 15" wheels that matched the bolt pattern. Not bad for $5 a wheel. Tires I had on hand.



Arch tacked to the axles.


Main beam installed and braced with angle iron.


Making attachments. This one is when fetching at a distance and using a rope or winch cable to retrieve the arch.

Well that was certainly not the answer I figgerd to be reading this morning. Looks like this 044 pressure is gonna have to ramp up a notch or ten…can see that now.

Tacking up the tow attachment.


Tacking in some gussets to the axles.


Making pins. Welded a chain link to the top of a grade 8 bolt. Had to shorten the bolt a bit so the nuts could be welded in place.


Picked up this little winch. 12V and has a mounting plate to work on a trailer ball.

Tow attachment welded up and hitch mocked up for drilling.


I decided to install the hitch pin from top to bottom for extra safety. Bottom nut welded on + obligatory saw pic...
