That was my thought as well, Randy. Even that won't fix him though. That guy actually thinks that people are fools.

He cuts rotten logs and then brags about how badass his saws are. Hell, I got a MS170 in the garage that needs a carb...it's a bad mofo in rotten wood too.

Might fix him. He's likely never had his lungs kicked loose from his ribs before.

Buy 60" Logrite peavey's/cant hooks and get the optional bolt-on log stands...buy once, cry once and be done with it. Some then would prob *b-wordh saying they're too heavy compared to a wooden-handled one. Or maybe...just get yer boyfriend to tote the damn thing for ya!
You said "buy once". Delusional, Mr six-of-everything.

Guy wants an oil leak fixed. It has a bunch. He wants just the lower oil pan done. About $3 G's.

20211130_092351.jpg

Why? Because the exhaust pipe wraps around the engine and one cannot get the pipe off with the transmission in there...

Good times, can't wait to take this *s-wordbox apart.

I don't really know 'cords' or whatever. Someone asked me how much wood I reckon I give to the neighbours every year.

"All of it".

A cord is 8' x 4' x 4'.

Or a stack 16" deep.....24' long x 4' tall.

I told this guy flat out the cost of the repair does not justify the end result and he is essentially throwing his money away.
He's sticking 3 grand into a $500 car that isn't even leaking that bad.
He says it's a nice car and he wants it fixed. Whatever then.

A couple of times I had to fix a sbc that had blown out the end on an intake. The right way of course is to pull the manifold....but once I pulled a vacuum on the engine with the ol shop vac, and put RTV in it. Surprisingly, it worked.

That's crazy engineering how they entwine exhaust systems between major components and then wonder why gaskets or sealants fail. You ever notice what all that trapped heat does to aluminum trans case or engine block surfaces. It's scary to see after 100k miles Ed.
