Been fighting off some sort of respiratory bug the last couple days, and just taking it easy. My father calls me up; insisting he needs me to bring "A big saw" over "right now."

I tried explaining the fact I am sick and trying to recover; but he wasn't having it.

Load up the 395 and drive over there, to find out he only needed a 6' section cut off the end of this thing, but, off the small end (maybe 18" at the widest point) . I used his MS250 and told him if he just wanted to spend time together he doesn't need to make up excuses...
what tractor?

Mornin' mfers. First Saturday in quite a while. Word on the street is "it's coming". Was fun while it lasted but daddy needs storage up north so it'll be ok.
I'll have a go.

"Overtime on Saturday has started up again and looks likely to become the norm. I enjoyed the free Saturdays but since I want to build a barn up at the cabin site I'll suck it up and take their money while it lasts?"

Lol was seeing if it was the same as mine
I have a 1973 model
Has the independent brakes and the creeper gear setup on it but no 3 point hitch

I think this one is either a '73 or '74. My grandfather bought it to maintain 17 acres back in the 70's. He plowed about 1200 feet of driveway with it as well as cut grass using a belly mount Woods mower. Dragged countless loads of firewood up to the house as well, as he heated with wood up until he sold his place in Wisconsin. My parents ended up with it, and it has been a fixture ever since. This has the independent brakes, but just a regular transmission. No 3 point gear either. 2nd gear spent alot of time mowing and pushing snow and has a howl I can hear in my sleep... I do like the hydraulic lift for the blade.

Cool to see! Talking about old tractors pulling wood, I used the D2 to skid this Eucalyptus log yesterday, so I could clear a track to another huge Gum that's smashed a fence and gate. 36 odd inches through at the butt and the D2 didn't even blink.

On a different note, did you ever find your earbuds?

I found them that morning before I gave up on the walk and went inside. Not sure how other than on my knees feeling around for them. They’ve spent hours since in my ears playing podcasts.
