I'd move! lolYesView attachment 316488
Starting this month my bills will be astronomical
800-1000.00 last winter is what they charged me above the budget and they can't tell me why
This was my average summer bill
Then 120-150.00 in winter the past 8 year's
Until last winter when I paid for several neighbors homes apparently.
I use a couple of oil filled heaters in winter
Don't use the furnace.
If it was a Dodge he wouldn't be having all these problems dot dot dotDodge?
That's why I picked up those propane tanksI'd move! lol
You'd make out like a bandit buying three Mr. Buddy Big Buddy Heaters (18K BTU max each), and ten dozen 1lb propane cylinders to get thru the winter. I wouldn't have paid them mf's a penny over what my bills were two winters ago. Your power company obviously ain't a Co-Op. Folks complain about their bills around here jumping like hell, the first thing the power company does is replace the meter, no questions asked.
How's the search for head progressing?

I don’t have apcom powerThat's why I picked up those propane tanks
For additional heat
I can get them filled for very cheap from a friend.
I'm just *b-wording I know I can't win against them
but it really doesn't make sense to me or my neighbor
Other neighbors haven't been affected.
I've had an account with Appalachian power since 1988
And never had any trouble with them until last winter
I know how much I use every month.
They keep saying they checked my meter
Which they haven't
I just want it replaced.
But people on fixed incomes are really struggling to pay their bills now.
They got approved for another rate increase recently
Other states said no but not wv
They just say how much do you want?

lol me too but at a different areaDon’t blame me for the price of power i just keep it on.
Since they installed the smart remote read metersI don’t have apcom power
My last month bill was 59 bucks
Never goes over 125 in the winter using the heat pump
About 80 bucks in the hot months of summer
Just a little food for thought Dave, but push come to shove and they pull the same *s-wordt again this year, if you get your hands on any Mr Buddy heaters, you can buy 10’ hoses pre-made from ‘em fairly cheap or any farm store sells ‘em, that will run the heaters from any size tank (20,30,etc). And not have to depend on the 1lb bottles or re-filling them with a 20lb cylinder or bigger with a tank adapter. Trust me, the 18K Big Buddy heaters with the internal fan on will run you out of a damn room even on low or medium, much less high. I have two of the Big Buddy’s here and prob two dozen or better 1lb cylinders ready on standby for the back bedrooms/bathrooms if power *s-wordts the bed here in the wintertime for any length of time, plus have the living room fireplace. That's why I picked up those propane tanks

A lot of us have had trouble with them.
I have 4 propane tanks to help offset
Electric.
Damn slackers and complainers
Now steady on. There is a line, and you've crossed it!
I'm too slack too be offended by being called a slacker, but I'm complaining about being called a complainer.
Oh ....
Blurry pic, but here's my genius service manager on a scissor lift.
And yes, he was at one point on the ladder on said scissor lift.
