lol how long do you need

I'd like to have a little extra just in case but probably 7'. Actually for the alternator wires that the previous owner decided to chop off so that he could install an external voltage regulator.

I normally just go to a welding supply shop. You will need to measure your current cable OD. You could have 2 gauge or 2/0. Same numbers big difference in sizing and load ratings. Thought that was the southern truck but I'm told no.

Nope, not the southern truck. This one came up locally and was a pretty good deal. It's a 1997 with a 12 valve. Old man special. It has a little rust on it but not much. I wouldn't be surprised if it was from out west because it has California emissions on it and it has so little rust.

What @timg said.
If you need an eyelet on the end, get those from the welding shop too.
Put a length on heat shrink on the cable. Clamp the lug in a vice, strip the cable to fit into the lug. Use a small propane torch, fill the entire lug with solder, while still liquid, jam the cable in. Let cool, cut off excess solder spill and heat shrink. It won't pull apart ever..

Yeah I always solder them, usually after I crimp them though. I thought about using welding cable, wasn't sure how kosher it was to use welding cable as battery cable, but I know I hate those cheap, thin, plastic-coated cables that the parts stores sell.

5th wheel about an hour ago, four/five exits north of the base on I-75. Don’t think that’s gonna buff out…

Her; "Of course, I'm not stupid ya know! Why do you ask?"

In all my years of RVing I saw my fair share of folks (frequently in rental units) driving off with slides out, awnings out, utilities hooked up etc

One of the best was some Germans who I helped get their rental rig set up, awning out, etc

It was a power only camping site

When they rolled out the next morning and went to the dump station they proceeded to stick the sewer flush out hose, clearly marked NON POTABLE WATER, into their fresh water auxiliary filler port and pumped her full

I started over to explain what they had done but they drove out too quickly

I pity the next folks who rented that unit
