Cousin had a Stephens 16 guage with the box mag.
Only saw it once. I think it was the only shotgun he owned.
I'm sure his son still has it.

Mine is a Mossberg bolt action. 3 shot internal mag. Id prefer a box mag. I also want an over under. Leaning CZ if new.

Just gonna put this out there.
I bought a cheap over/under years ago when I had time to shoot sporting clays.
It was a Baikal. Made in the Russian Izmech factory. Ive heard that was a HUGE place that turned out a ton of Aks and the like.
Sweet gun. Had Browning Invector plus compatible choke tubes(maybe, memory is foggy), nickel receiver, ported barrels. Tight as a drum when I got it. Almost needed 2 hands to open the breech. Softened up some, but never got sloppy. Excellent trigger and selector system. Far from a Kreighoff or Perazzi, but not too far from a Browning in fit and function. Finish, well yeah, it was a $400 shotgun.

Have to show you my grandads old Remington 16 guage some day. He quail hunted with it mostly. Lots of briar patches and thickets. No bluing left, and not much finish on the wood.
Still the best balanced shotgun ive ever held though. Need to get it back to mechanically shootable condition one day.

Sorry, didnt specify. Its a Remington Sportsman 58 semi auto. First gas operated model they made. Replaced the "Browning humpback" clones they had before it.
I also have the one my late brother bought used years ago. Take it out every now and then to a dove hunt just because...
Those are well balanced upland bird guns. Not so great on the trap stand, but they point quickly. Perfect for quail, when a quick shot is needed.

Assuming its a single...

Dad still has a double barrel 16 guage that was probably my great grandfather's. Cheapo from what ive researched. Newport model CN. Hammerless. 2 triggers. Barrels have been shortened to about 22". Probably came with 30" barrels and full choke.
