sounds like the Orangeville tavern about 10 minutes from where I grew up. Most times the cops didn’t like to show up there with less than around 5 cars.

Does every police car roll up with only 1 officer as on cops ?Downunder the police union make it mandatory that every police car has 2 officers at all times for safety reasons.

We had a Saloon and a Tavern here across the road from each other for years. There was a biker gang that hung out at the tavern, and a local group of loggers and truck drivers that hung out at the Saloon.

One day there was a big brawl started and it evolved into a shootout between the two joints - shooting at each other across the road. Nobody died and there weren't any serious injuries but one guy got shot
in the hand and a woman got shot in the buttcheek with a 22LR. After that, it was known as the "buttcheek" shootout. This was in the early 80's.

Sounds like a bar we ended up at in Newport Tennessee about 20 years ago.
Had to go through a metal detector and sign a waiver if we were kilt the place wasn't liable.
Had a good time. Chick's were doing coke right off the pool table. The waitress refused to show her tits because she would get fired.
But, when we were leaving she came running across the lot to tell us her sister fell in the fryer at burger King and burnt her face off and was going to see her. We asked of she was off the clock, she said yeah, so we got to see the titties.

It was a good time.

I be glad when Sunday passes, I’ve been collecting them cakes and bread from the shop as the lady is away on holiday this wk.

it’s unreal where the bread and cakes go ( homeless hostels where drug & alcohol addiction is high on the list as well as mental health and somewhere the vulnerable classed peeps are on the list as well).
Then you see these same peeps sitting on the street begging for change, saying homeless and hungry… there may be a few that actually are, but a lot are just feeding there bad habits.

and to think I became homeless at one point in time, fug am I glad I never ended up in one of these places. I guess I was lucky and had the sense to climb out of the hole I found myself in.
I can see it’s a breeding ground for drug addiction and alike.

anyhow.these cakes are very nice and making me grow into larger clothes….
And my freezer is almost full
Also I’ve given my friends plenty of bread and cakes.

Cake is always good. But I have become pretty jaded on the "homeless beggars" I see on a daily basis anymore. There is a lot to the saying of know your audience. Currently there is a wheel chair that they are passing around, in the past crutches. I see them park their cars, that are nicer than I drive, in a nearby parking lot and walk fine until they get close to where they are begging. Then the walkers and canes come out. One guy had a little dog that he carried on his shoulders because people have a soft spot for animals. A friend was working on his ice machine by an intersection and said you can watch them working exchanging signals to change positions and props. The pedophile that begs by the gas station along the interstate was called out about it and he said that he can make more money than having a job. I keep joking that I'm going to take the dog and youngest kid and rub dirt on them and me and start begging.

Todd for the state police each officer is on an island alone in their car for routine police work. For County sheriffs dept. I’m sure it might be different county to county but they are typically alone in a car in my area. I’ve always heard them say you can’t outrun the police radio. I may not have done gooder at remedial maths but I’m pretty sure bullets are faster.
