Some numbnuts cut out the original chassis to rear bumper harness connector and installed aftermarket connectors.

That's all fine and dandy if you actually match up the correct circuits and crimp the fuggin terminals on properly...

So, now I have to figure out where every wire on the vehicle side is supposed to go into the correct connector.
Yay. And stuff.

This isn't for trailer. Long range radar module, 2 corner blind zone alert modules and 6 parking assist sensors just in the rear bumper fascia...

I'm told the harness came loose and hit the exhaust. From there, it just spiraled down with inept fingers doing repairs.

I must be out of touch with my inner bull dyke, because I don't see the appeal to this thing.

Wife had a Forester for a few years. Was tied for the biggest POS we ever paid money for (Other vehicle was an '06 Dakota). At 60k miles the top of the fuel sending unit broke and was venting gas fumes into the cabin. Dealer went to replace sending unit (on our dime, not warrantied) and snapped off a stud that holds it in the tank. So, at 60070 miles, they tried to stick us with an $800 sending unit, a $750 tank, and about $2900 in labor to replace it all. After much arguing and consulting a lawyer, they covered the labor. I would rather walk than own another one. My Fords at least warn me when something is wrong.
