There's tons of it still around here. Just on my property alone there's plenty for a year or 2 of heat but I like to claim the dead ash others don't want so I don't use up my supply. Have a good number of dead ash trees I need to go get before winter. Normally my firewood is done and stacked for the winter and I barely started yet. This year is kicking my ass but in a good way

I wondered when I saw the pics the first time but too much city slickers to correct a country boy on critters. Then F’ers like to eat the roots of lawns, had some nasty tracks in the front yard this spring. Have spotted one of the f’ers in the garden a couple time lately.

(Thought somewhere I had a pic of the lawn but can’t find right now)

This lil dude was 1/4 mile from the house just sitting there dead on our bike trail. Not squished. Just dead.

they use to have a ban on taking firewood across county lines but dont think that is still going on

This wasn't a normal big eyed field mouse. He looked like a lil hampster.

Vole was the first thing I thought, but when you said muskrat I went wifs it.

I looks like a baby muskrat but made no damn sense one would be out there so I dug around on the net. Its a type of vole. About 1.5" long is all it was. Not counting the tail.
