i use air hammer if i can get it in straight
on u joints i use my ball joint press to put them in
i have a 6 ton bench press but i rarely use it
though i have had to take the jack out and use my 12 ton jack to get it to work

I ain't got one of those.....but I got it.

air hammer is a cheap air tool less than 30 bucks usually
i opted for one that i can change the end and have a needle scaler to get rid of rust and junk when i got the last one
makes it alot easier and your not beating your brains out with a hammer

I read the block issue on the 1.8 was 06 and 07. Ours is an 09 and still good to go. Its always been dealer serviced on time per the maintenance minder or manual. Coolant, break fluid... everything.

You are correct! I have seen one 08 with a cracked block. May have been early production?

Be sure to pack them bearings in grease. Takes a long time for oil to get from the diff to the hubs.

I've got em soaking in gear oil. They gonna be fine. I'll swerve back and forth, and drive down the ditch too. They'll get em lubed up.

You've talked me into it. Looking for a good one with a set of ends and a scaler.

the scaler is more money but for rust removal or even paint removal it works good
we use them at work to get rid of the flyash that is stuck on the metal

Dodge, Chrysler, jeep all fall under fca (Fiat Chrysler of America)

But regardless, you are correct that dodges are pieces of *s-wordt.
I have 5 sisters and two brothers
And dozens more of their kids and grandkids in the family driving than I can remember.
None not one dodge product in the family.
Lot's of Toyota and mostly Chevy, ford, mistubishi, kia
The last dodge I'm aware of was my sister's new 300 with 3k miles
That explosive diarrhea *s-word it's trans out
On the interstate on the 3 lane next
To the state capitol.
The road I live on has 15 residences
Not one dodge
Even the former completely dodge dominated supplied fleet/service trucks for the gas and utility companies here
Have completely been replaced by
Chevy I'm not aware of any dodges
The state road maybe but I've only seen ford and Chevy.
Ford owns the pursuit trucks the state police and dnr/game wardens run.
I just wonder why they lost all the areas they used to own?

I'm seeing a stand alone scaler, but not an air hammer attachment. I'll keep looking. Might get an air hammer, chisels, and a scaler. I can see how useful they would be.

Stopped at my local ford dealer for my neighbor
He wanted a pic of the trucks
This is it the whole selection
IMG_20210731_125126.jpg
They normally have 150+ trucks
2 salesman came out running as I was driving up to check the trucks out.
I didn't even stop
They chased me all the way to the 2 lane.
