I'm still not taking sides on Issue of the Week, but i would like to remind you of your very own signature, second line. Its a motto i support.

It's obvious something I believe in as well Adam. And as a result of that belief system, standing alone is looking pretty good at this point in my life. I'm just not sure what I would do if I didn't do this.

I'm very close to giving up on trying to moderate this forum Gary. I've stuck with it because I told Bruce I would do it. But the headache of doing it has become more than I'm willing to endure.

You're that one pin that when pulled the whole place is gonna have a come apart in a million pieces, never to be put back together again.

Can't like that. I enjoy the community and the people associated with it. I would be concerned it would devolve rather quickly without you. No slight to @Woodpecker as he does a great job too or the other mods but your experience and history with other forums helps guide good decision making.

I couldn't bothered to read Kenny's post today, I just don't have enough fuchs to give. However I would offer Kenny the advice that if he wants to start selling services here he should follow the example of @Stump Shot and put some work in to the field on his own dime and let people see how good the work is before jumping in at $300 for a mystery port job.

That was to get me saws to work/learn on more than anything else. I did a self imposed apprenticeship to learn the trade, transparent to Randy and some other porters round here. I dotted the i later becoming two stroke certified.
Doesn't matter some think I stole and hacked my way in anyway.
I'll let the countless pile of saws out there running speak for me.

Sometimes you have to recall all the good people/experiences you have that way outweigh the bad ones.

I’m keeping the one in my garage, even if it is a Husky.

Really hard to say anyone steals anything in saw porting. Pictures show off your capabilities mostly because you can only do so many things to make power with a chainsaw. Everyone just puts their own twist on what’s been done, long bar short bar ect. So as far as I’m concerned your selling the quality of your work only. Two saws ported exactly the same may run slightly different even if same guy does it. Even if brand x is faster than y by 1/2 -1 second per cut with the same chain a different chain can cause the saws to reverse positions. In the real world cutting firewood doesn’t matter who’s work saw is fastest because so many variables. All that matters is the person porting them takes pride in his work the saw lasts and he stands behind it. Really don’t know why anybody wouldn’t show what they do and be proud of it, everyone hear has seen a ported cylinder by now and know what is good looking and not good.

... I wouldn't expect others to have to do what I did, their own experiences can be their guide as far as I'm concerned. I did what was right for me and had the freedom of that choice, however that course needed will be unique to each and every individual as the choose to see fit for themselves.
