@Kiwioilboiler just a quick question, on fuel, namely ethanol. We’re going to be getting 10% added, soon. But currently at 5%.

When is the ethanol added and does the ethanol at whatever % make much or any difference to octane rating stated.

There’s alot of worry here, and I can’t see that a premium fuel for cars is any better for 2strokes being it’s a slower burning fuel .


Maybe I should start a what fuel is best thread, to satisfy those guys that frequent the what oil is best thread

It's not mandated here Sean, and we don't manufacture it at work so I honestly can't help much.
I do know that the alcohol (methanol) is water attracting so that's what gives so many issues. Avoid if possible.

I did chemistry at college & uni (never finished uni thou), so I know about washing mixtures to remove/separate certain stuff you want/don’t want..from mixtures… I think I may try some back yard washing soon Then compare to two different fuels.
But don’t tell anyone, it’s a top secret experiment.

Not from a reaction standpoint to the allergy med itself, I have A-Fib, and you gotta watch stimulants and things when taken together. Heart racing like a thoroughbred at times is not a good thing.
