lol ive been to both oceans last time was 2012 and no desire to go again
You never been on a small craft in a quiet bay and/or a remote inlet areas. Completely different thing than the usual rat race here. You could enjoy that but for the damn green heads on dead calm days. Cruising small channels, seeing logger head turtles in there and just quiet, no bs, no other people or crafts around.

We found some nice places like that in slot canyons and off the beaten path in AZ. I was petting "wild elk" lol in the grand canyon parking lots and ten feet from those deer up on the canyon park rim. We also had birds and squirrels right next to us. The pics my daughter took are unbelievable with wildlife that is not afraid of people or at least us.
Longhorn got pissed when I approached one just outside the rim parking area at the grand canyon lol. He was like *f-word off dude shaking his head all about and stepped away.

Me too but it's a five to six hour drive vs one or so local. PA or NY is much worse to get away here in the east.

We go to the beach to swim or fish. Not much for sunning myself. Boating is more fun because the beaches are private or with other boaters. The inlets I fish in are some of the most remote in the NE or Mid Atlantic areas. My sil lives four blocks off the beach in OC NJ and it's not my thing. North of Bethany Beach in DE is another sweet spot on the coast. Mostly private home and game lands there. Bass River, Mullica River, Egg Harbor or The Great Egg Harbor river is another fine area by boat or the Delaware upper bay to the C&D Canal. We launch from NJ in Salem by the nuke plant. That canal runs down to the Chesapeake Bay. Most of the coastal islands suck now in NJ. Too many people except in the winter. I need more boating back in my life. Creeks, rivers and inlets off the grid is my preference most times.

I'm skinny but slow and I sweat a lot. Then there is the smell depending on what was for lunch. Quite capable of polluting the entire ground area or LZ. I don't climb a lot in this pea soup anymore. No doubt more than a few people will be waiting on me today and are not pissed or upset. They get it.

Speaking of felling... my services are requested at the land owners ninety acre piece to flop some pine and cedar.

What should I use to keep the pitch off my tools?
I'm all ears you hot weather sap loggers. Edumicate me, please.

I hate felling pine in summer and this is nothing but felling, limbing and section the timber for a small bandsaw mill he owns. I move nothing unless it is going to the chainsaw mill area or bigger and slabbing it in place where it lays for the land owner. We can get to those later as needed or possibly leave the big chit standing till the fall season comes around.
