That engine looks too fancy for a hay-hauler, though. You building a sleeper truck?
He's building something you can buy parts for anywhere, is easy to fix and won't give him any BS. It will have enough balls to pull long trailers load with sumtin or remove dead bodies from trespassers. General use pick-up truck basically.

Well. I tend to get carried away. LOL

The heads were both cracked. So.....

These aluminum heads had everything I wanted. Small combustion chambers, 175cc intake runners, big valves, and a fully adjustable valvetrain. Of course stock valve covers won't fit over roller rockers with taller springs and poly locks, so I had to get taller covers. The intake is a match to the heads, and again is everything I wanted in an intake. Dual plane, relatively small runners, and square bore. Headers are small tube, equal length, long tube Hedmans. Carb is a 750cfm Edelbrock. Cam is what us old guys call an RV grind. Flat top .060" pistons with 4 valve reliefs. Compression ratio is 10:1. Everything about the engine is for low rpm torque. It will never run north of 4500 rpm.

How'd trans-continental crane work out?

Freakin love that thing Adam. With it nearly as high as it will go, it was rock solid.

Any idea what the axle ratio is on that thing?
