Also don't have bridge travel limits or anti collision between cranes. They use every square inch of floor space they have for steel.
Only limits are hoist up. It has a geared limit plus a mechanical overtravel switch.
Theres a geared lower limit as well, but those arent required either, as long as 2 or more wraps of rope remain on the drum when the lower hook is at its lowest point.
Again, cranes are stupid machines. They are usually manually operated by a human, and therefore rely upon the human to supply the brain power.
