Yeah I used to work in a body shop. Also worked a brief stint at a Ford dealer shortly after the aluminum trucks hit the showroom. I'm not brand loyal to anything, I've actually had more GMs than Fords but I like to "claim" allegiance just so I can pick fights But I do currently own a Ford truck and my next one will probably be Ford.

parts that are easily swapped when damaged is one thing but for cabs and such being aluminum i wouldnt like or want one
same as the plastic fenders and body panels on the saturns
why would you give up extra strength in a wreck for non rusting garbage ? aluminum still corrodes just buy a saw or a camper from near the ocean where saltwater spray happens
