Our Øsa is at home, now it will be patience, spraying water in her, and hoping for the best.

4 days super stress, tonight I can feel good in my carcass, farting nonstop !!
I love dachshunds, but I think this will be my last dog.
Every time something happens to them, it takes a bite out of me.

:(
Glad she’s with you where she knows she’s loved. At least she will have comfort in your presence

Thanks
My condolences to others losses.

Point taken, seriously from my perspective.
Only read one page back there from last Thursday morning at my last check in. Still quite lacking on the who and why but got the jest of very bad new. It does travel faster somehow, intentional or not.

Still thirty three pages behind and no plans to play catch-up on this thread anymore. It's just not in my cards now. Sadly, realizing all my time is now going to be consumed because I'm slow and getting slower. The only way to get faster is by moving on to something else besides climbing or start working machines more and more. Still trying to avoid hiring someone and that just seems futile at this point.
Never made any good money just felling without having a climber right there when needed. Have the saws, bars, chains and talent to take down anything. Lacking the stamina to get it done myself SUCKS!! Young mans game to be able to do the complete job start to finish on large removals. Being just an all day climber is out for me now. I'm dead in two six hour days from dragging up the three quarter and one inch bull lines, eighty feet up. Getting old and too broken now imo. Rarely did I ever have a good ground guy who can cover a good climbers needs. The very reason I learned to take apart trees myself. Hauling lines up, sharpening or fueling my saws, running a portawrap, running a saw without rocking the chain every third cut and knowing the climber is number one has never materialize for me. Might be calling it quits this year.

Anyone possibly interested in becoming a climber should look me up. If your not a self starter don't bother. Plenty of work around here and can set you up local with a place to stay reasonable near the city or the pines, your choice where you live not mine. I see this market expanding yearly and showing no signs of slowing down. If you want a full time job you will split firewood, feed chippers and move materials. If not you go on day contract as climber only. Being safe is number one with me. It always was when talking about tree work. Seriously serious business, always on site, unless you need your tomatoes busted ;)

Off now to bust the tomatoes of my machinist, he's fuggin slow like, super fuggin slow. Then more vehicle and equipment repair, updates and fabrication on another trailer. Need more time here allotted for cutting timber frame members.

Carry on hackets

Might be time to start angling for a job where you point, and they work Kenny. As we get older, that's what we are supposed to do.

Totally agree.
I wonder when we will get a little more choice at OPE, agree, disagree, dislike, creative, love even though it sounds gay, vape, etc
That said, I have reduced my consumption.

I guess that's a question for the last member still standing.

For your health reasons, I hope you can quit the vape some day, you're still my friend until then, or even if you can't.

Lol on both counts.
Holley is the better option most times unless your getting an NOS Demon :)

These dingbats couldn't pack lunch. Why would I want to to instruct them all day,?...
Most don't listen
They never ever put that *f-wording phone down so that makes them dangerous. Now I'm responsible for their dumb asses?... no.
Tell me I'm wrong, please!
Most have never even heard of a safety meeting or are the least bit interested in PPE but they all "need" to run a saw with all that "experience" behind them. More like a cord of bs piled high most times. Apparently higher than I've ever been so consider that.
Now... the crew I just watched, ripping off Conrail for thousands today, I'm sure of today, is a dream job. I got pics too. What a joke. Two hour lunches, both days, seven guys, two pieces of equipment and four trucks plus they shut off the local trains to allow them track side access on NJ Transit side of the triple tracks here. Conrail controls it mostly and with very good reason because my side is the third old tracks for the AC Express passenger train. They work on this side with Conrail guys only. They cleaned up the trees last month. Good doods imo and safety minded by trade not by todays task at hand.

This new crew has one big bucket, one box chipper dump bucket smaller rig. A few support trucks and a stake body. The mini must be just for show and shine. They trimmed four maybe six trees in two days that are so sorry looking and done wrong. They spent six hours in the trucks over two days. They make Asplund or Nelsons line crews look awesome at what every that is they call it cause it ain't tree trimming along the utility pole power lines. Shaping ornamental trees is trimming and it has it's own science. Anyway, the butchers waste more time than they work and the guy who got that contract is making a ton for little input.
This crew is worthless and dangerous. They literally just backed up a bucket truck into the local utilities pole and broke it off at the base. No *s-word... me and my wife watched the mfers do it this afternoon. You can't make this *s-word up up boss, seriously.

I need to call that in tonight. The jerkoffs just blew it off and ignored it, sad. They all watched the pole and our lines sway till it settled down. The next good wind storm and our stuff will be laying on the local third rail frying. This is the *s-word I see constantly around here.

I point they do lol.
Nobody listens to *s-word past five minutes even when it is written in crayon or they repeat the same physically painful mistake that could take then out next time. Tree guys that are good or want to learn are not easy to find. Most work for city crews now or townships around here. Takes years to build a decent four person crew who work well together. Done trying myself. I'll go back to grinding heads full time before point, hope and pray. I'm not religious and Hope left town ;)

Let's ask
@sawmikaze
He works with an urban tree crew.
Your thoughts on building a crew from scratch?

Oh btw how is your boss doing with that cut?

Hear Hear !!!
Thanks alot friends,
I'm down to, 40%, have been doing small reductions for several months, came naturally by itself, no plan at all behind it.
Before, I could vape only one taste, but then there were larger amounts since well, everyone loses their sense of taste with the same taste in the course of a day.
My change began when I expanded the flavors, now I want to enjoy the flavors and that made it to be small amounts by itself.
Another thing I have reduced is the amount of coffee.

Asplundh sucks. We haven’t contracted them in a long time. Now we use Kappan or Davey
