i did a heater core on a 98 f150 and was elbow deep getting the hoses off

now you can buy a real saw lol

Once you get the dash out cut the metal lines off the heater core inside the truck. Then pull the hoses through the firewall and from under the cowl so you can work on those stupid quick connects.


Luckily those dont really come in the shop anymore!

Holley fuel injection. Should have been more specific I suppose lol.


I want to build my 300 using a holley injection system. The computer on the 88 is so simplistic that it cant adjust more fuel for a small vacuum leak. Definitely wont handle a big cam and ported head!

Don’t you miss playing around with carbs at least when something went wrong it was easy enough to diagnose and didn’t usually cost much either.
you still have the fundamentals but now you have computers to tell you what cylinder is misfiring and you cans till do alot with old knowledge such as check for spark

They have ruined new vehicles.

My F350 is an 84 model, and that's about as new as I'll ever want.

I worked a brief stint at a Ford dealership. I assisted in several of those jobs. Pulling the cab to do the head gaskets. Not a fun job.

My F150 is a '95. I love it.
