A buddy of mine has a Monte Carlo with a junkyard LQ4 from a GMC 2500 with a couple chinese ebay spinny wheels and it makes over 500 HP at the flywheel. It's ridiculous.

It should be clearing more than that, a cam swapped lq4 makes more that 500.

I'm sure its not an optimal setup. He probably has less than $1000 in the whole motor and pcm. Clapped out lq4, Chinese ebay turbos, 4l60E ticking time bomb, bolted together in a Monte Carlo.

Have you seen the LS winnebago? It has to be close to 650 700 hp. It was pretty much a junkyard build with turbo and some methanol injection to help cool it down on long pulls. That thing is hilarious.
