Wife took me to the Dr. for the followup after my hip replacement. Hip is doing fine.
She takes me home gets me into the recliner and comfortable then asks what i want to eat.
She is going to get groceries.

I thank her and as she is headed out the door tells me she has already got the money out of my wallet so i don't have to get up and hobble over to get the money. She is looking out for me.

While i am laid up she will take care of spending my money so i have one less thing to worry about.

Happy wife happy life

Ive got the same exact problem with an S25DA.
Have to pull the filter cover to start it. It runs perfect for about 5 to 10 minutes, then just starts going leaner.
Fuel delivery is finicky on those, due to how long and twisty the fuel line is. Also, the cap seal is tricky, and dont forget the damn duckbill valve.
Youre right, Mini Macs aint bad at all.

The 20D is quite a bit different than the 25. I have had 4 or 5 of the poulan / craftsman versions of the 25s. The carb isn't on top on the 20. Its on the rear left side as opetated. You also have to split the cases to change the damn oil lines. Which I did. Sumbitchen thang. I'm getting irritated just thinking on it.
