I thought we were in for the same as it was drizzling when I last sent the dog out before bed. I guess we stayed above freezing until it stopped in the city and everything was fine. The main highway East of town is closed at the moment due to icy conditions. One of my staff just texted that she’ll be late to the office today.

At 10yds i blew the 10 ring out and kept a 2”-2.5” or so group around it for the first 25-30 shots. Then i started getting tired and then came the dreaded right handers little low and left. I’m not a marksman by any means but a crazy mfer within 15 yards is guaranteed to not see tomorrow.

Try this drill. Stand facing the target, pistol holstered like you carry it. Hand at your side, not on the pistol. Have a buddy stand the same distance behind you as you are from the target. Use a count down timer to tell you both when to go. The objective is for you to put rounds in the kill zone before he touches your shoulder. This simulation shows that even the 7 yard, standard rooms length, is too close. And you KNOW he's coming. You don't know when a perp is.

I’ve heard of guys doing that. I’m a pretty good shot for what i use my guns fir and have confidence in a SHTF situation. Working 13 hours yesterday and not really feeling the greatest and i was a little off. Good advice though thanks!
