Wouldn't it just pop a valve cover gasket or blow a seal? Not sure how crankcase pressure could interfere with oil pressure.

These engines pop the rear crank seal.
No filter to change. Pcv is a closed loop fixed orifice in the manifold that blocks with sludge then freezes.
I make good coin off that repair too.

Before any valve cover gasket or front and rear seals pop it keeps oil from getting to the bearings. I’ve seen failed bearings on the diesels a lot and the ccv filter is usually plugged

My schooling fir diesel / auto was 1989-1990. I ended up not wanting to be a mechanic so I got factory job and tested into the machine repair program. What I'm getting at is *s-worde has changed A LOT since those days. Not arguing, but I still can't see how thats possible. Id have to see how they are intertwined to get it.

It could just be a coincidence just my practice and observation
